We are just squeezing through the last of our mid season varieties from the Greater Gwydir region of NSW and blending with summer valencias from the Riverina. Summer oranges are typically super sweet and super juicy. Love that!
And for my little random orange fact… the fruit came before the colour. The word “orange” was derived from the Arabic naranj and arrived in English as “narange” in the 14th century, gradually losing the “n”. Orange was first used as the name for a colour in 1542. Interesting!
