Our Process
INSPECT AND CHILL
Firstly, we inspect all fresh oranges to ensure they have been handled with care (fresh and undamaged) and to ensure they meet our high quality buying specifications. Our secret to sealing in the goodness, locking in the vitamin C and keeping our fresh juice fresh is chilling our oranges before we squeeze. Shhh, don’t tell anyone!
PREPARE AND QUALITY CONTROL
We wash and carefully hand sort our chilled oranges to ensure there are no bad “apples” and finally scrub, sanitise (using a neutral wash) and rinse them. Only after all this preparation is complete, are the fresh Australian oranges ready for squeezing!
SQUEEZE
The major reason for our superior fresh-tasting orange juice is our premium juice extractors which allow us to squeeze oranges from the outside in (eliminating bitterness contained in the outside skin). ... and don't forget unlike most other brands on the supermarket shelf, our Juice of Orange is squeezed without any heat treatment (also known as pasteurisation!) – a process which impairs the delicate natural flavour and greatly reduces the valuable nutrients, enzymes and vitamin content.
BLEND
With skills similar to a fine wine maker, we carefully blend the juices to create our beautifully balanced Juice of Orange product. Our blenders combine different varieties, in line with seasonal conditions, to create the best available juice at any time of the year.
TASTE AND BOTTLE
Ever since the first day and the very first bottle of Juice of Orange was squeezed, we have tested and tasted (and tested and tasted again!) every batch of juice to ensure it meets our high standard. Only once the juice has our Seal of Approval, is it ready to be bottled. Juice of Orange is made to order, squeezed daily, and bottled within hours of squeezing.
SHAKE AND ENJOY
Because our juice is naturally pulpy (yes, we kept all the juicy bits in it!), it naturally settles and separates. So shake it well! Oh, and keep it cold (it’s more sensitive to temperature change than a pasteurised juice!). Your care in keeping our juice cold will ensure that the fresh taste lasts longer! Enjoy!
