| Grove Fruit
Juice was established in Brisbane
in 1969 as a specialist home delivery
fruit juice business. Our family
bought the company in 1983 with
the vision of expanding through
innovation, quality and service.
Since then, Grove has grown from
a one employee business, producing
3,000 litres of fruit juice per
week, to a progressive processing
and distribution network employing
over 70 staff and processing over
300,000 litres of juice per week. |

Grove is by no means
the largest juice processor in Australia
but, with our dedication to quality
and integrity, we believe we can play
a major part in the development and
sustainability of our competitive
industry.
In 1987 Grove was one of the first
companies in Queensland to commercially
squeeze fresh oranges for direct consumption.
These new products quickly found their
way to the kitchens and tables of
numerous hotels, restaurants and catering
establishments.
Grove moved to its current facility
at Mansfield (on Brisbane’s
Southside) in 1990, after 21 years
in its original Buranda factory. Grove
has expanded its facility in line
with its 15% average growth, achieved
over the past 10 years.
Increased site development
and improved product handling have
become a way of life for Grove and
plans for the next major development
are well under way to satisfy our
needs in the next 5 years.
Grove's distribution network has been
designed to provide local, overseas
and supermarket customers with a fast
and reliable service and was enhanced
in 1990, when it was instrumental
in establishing an independent distribution
business - Queensland Independent
Vendors.
QIV became one of
Queensland’s major chilled food
distribution networks until, in 1999,
Bidvest Australia purchased QIV and
added it to their national food service
network. Today, Grove enjoys a close
commercial relationship with Bidvest
and the new Australian Independent
Vendors as one of our primary third
party distributors.
Grove’s purpose
built processing and distribution
facility is positioned midway between
Australia’s summer and winter
citrus growing areas. Based on seasonal
quality, Grove draws its fruit from
these areas and, with skills similar
to a fine wine maker, blends its oranges
to ensure the product is the best
available at each particular time
of the year.
With its specialised
fruit handling facilities and latest
processing procedures, Grove’s
quality is second to none. Its fresh
oranges are sorted, washed, sanitised
and chilled prior to squeezing. Extractors
squeeze the oranges from the outside
in, ensuring that the bitter after
taste of the peel does not spoil the
juice. Grove’s fresh juices
are squeezed daily, bottled within
hours and transported under controlled
temperatures directly to its depots
for immediate distribution.
Grove is currently
the largest privately owned fruit
juice processor in Queensland and
our success to date has been based
on long term strategies and a commitment
to uncompromised quality. Our existence
is based on care.
The principles of
quality and service which have enabled
Grove to grow are still strictly adhered
to. Whether under the Grove brand,
or the Only brand, the fresh and chilled
fruit juices and fruit juice drinks
have remained uncompromised. Grove
believes that customer satisfaction
with its products and service will
determine and ensure its future success.
Grove's vision is
to develop a corporate structure of
multi-ownership and profit sharing,
providing a basis for continuous lifestyle
improvements for those wanting to
participate.
